Horticulturist

Summary (Essential Functions): Maintain interior foliage and exterior landscape beds around the clubhouse and club grounds, including parking lots/driveway and other buildings on club grounds.

Details:

• Maintain landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds
• Tend and maintain all plants inside clubhouse
• Rake and blow leaves
• Remove debris from landscaped areas
• Prune trees, shrubbery, and flowers
• Procure plants and other grounds-related materials from local suppliers
• Attend staff meetings
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent

Attire: Uniform shirt with khakis or jeans. Modest shorts permitted.

Qualifications: Must have solid knowledge of planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants, shrubs, and trees, including herbicides and pest control methods & materials. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and members. Qualified candidates will be reliable, professional, and able to successfully work in a team environment. Candidates will have effective listening and communication skills and a strong desire to provide excellent service. All candidates will work to ensure the fulfillment of the Club's mission to provide a warm and friendly environment for our members and guests, through commitment and dedication with a personal touch.
