Golf Outside Service Supervisor

Summary (Essential Functions): The Outside Service Supervisor will play a vital role in the success of the golf operation by providing a Professional first impression of Cape Fear Country Club. The Outside Service Supervisor will possess strong interpersonal and management skills to handle the demands of the Outside Service staff, as well as the ability to offer unparalleled service to the membership.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and evaluate training procedures.
• Recruit, hire, and train all outside service team members.
• Staff, schedule, and continually train the outside service team to meet proficiencies set forth by the operational and service goals of the Club.
• Create a strong "team-first" mentality amongst the outside service team.
• Develop and deliver a daily operations structure that will succeed in a high service, high touch atmosphere.
• Establish consistency among staff members to ensure that service levels meet or exceed expectations.
• Perform golf car and pushcart maintenance and keep record of overall golf car performance.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of department equipment.
• Inventory and order operational supplies such as towels, tees, ball mark repair tools, etc.
• Assist other Professional Staff with tournament preparation and Golf Shop operations.
• Serve as an ambassador of Cape Fear Country Club by tirelessly promoting and representing the Club as well as understanding the importance of the golf operation and the Club as a whole.
• Mentor and prepare staff members for future positions and aid them in achieving their career goals.
• Supervise the outside service staff.
• Assist in the daily set-up and overall experience at the practice facilities.
• Pay attention to presentation and cleanliness in all service areas.
• Responsible for the opening and closing procedures for the entire outside operations.
• Supervise the cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of golf cars for daily play.
• Develop an outside services manual and implement new policies and procedures as needed.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
• Work alongside the Professional Staff in making the Cape Fear Country Club experience the best Club experience in Wilmington.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professionals, Head Golf Professional, and/or Director of Golf.

Qualifications: Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. Ideal candidates will be reliable, punctual, professional, and able to successfully work in a large group/team environment. Candidates will have effective listening and communication skills and a strong desire to provide excellent service. All candidates will work to ensure the fulfillment of the Club's mission to provide a warm and friendly environment for our members and guests, through commitment and dedication with a personal touch.

Salary & Benefits: Benefits include limited golf privileges, meal during each shift, and a uniform allowance. Eligible employees may receive paid time off, insurance, and 401(k) retirement plan after term of service requirements have been fulfilled. Employees will also be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including a sign-on bonus of $250 - $1000 after six months of employment.
